This Red Velvet Agate polished slab features golden brown, translucent gray, and varying shades of opaque reds with moss and brecciated pattern, a few open vugs, and matrix inclusions along the bottom.

Red Velvet Agate comes from northern Mexico and typically shows translucent to white agate streaked with bright shades of red - like streaks of red velvet cake in white icing. It forms in veins and could also be called a jasp-agate as it combines translucent and opaque chalcedony. It can have feathery bands, brecciated patterning and moss agate, all in red hues from orange to 'fleshy' pinks or deep reds, or some golden yellows.
